 Recycled to Up-Cycled

“First Glass Recycled” artists Carrie Kouba and Michele Pomeroy take all sorts of discarded glass and create unique, one of a kind, up-cycled wall, garden, and wearable art.

It all started with collecting sea glass  and the desire to create jewelry and mosaics. Nine years later the focus is no longer on either of those items, instead, it is focused more on discarded picture frames, windows, and all kinds of glass.  Most recently, tea cups and saucers have been added to the repertoire.

When time permits, they create mosaic pictures using all kinds of broken glass. 

Through the years their artwork has evolved but one thing has remained the same - the desire to upcycle glass once thought to be trash into an up-cycled Treasure.
